Solar San Diego Installation Type Spanish Tile
There are three way to install a Hardy Solar San Diego electric system. One way is to remove the tile from the roof in the area in which solar is to be installed and we come in and install mounting hardware and a roofer comes back and installs the tile and then we install the tile. Another way is to drill through the tile in order to install the solar. The problem with both of these methods is it can be difficult especially with brittle or thin tile roof not to damage the tile during the installation process.
The third way to install Solar Electric is to remove the tile in the area that the solar is to be installers and re-roof with rolled roofing underneath. This is the easiest and most practical approach. This is the method shown here.

We like to use a white heat reflecting roof sealer over the roofing material and under the solar panels. This serves several purposes. The most important thing is that Solar produces better in cool conditions. It also gives the rolled roofing additional coat of protection.
